Salary: £25k – £26k depending on experience – Full Time Permanent

We are searching for a talented and versatile Event Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience as a sound, lighting or AV engineer as well as excellent communication and the skills necessary to grow and maintain positive client relationships. 

 

At Infinity, we specialise in managing and delivering technical & production services for events and performances across the UK, specialising in supporting small and medium venues and producers. As one of our Event Technicians, you will play a crucial role within our venue support and live events departments. You will be responsible for both the installation and execution of events, ensuring seamless technical operations and providing outstanding support to our clients. You may also be involved in projects with our installation and maintenance teams.

 

We are looking for someone who is London based, or living within a commutable distance to London. The successful candidate will likely also be involved in projects across the UK where travel and accommodation will be provided. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Install, set up, and operate lighting, sound, and video/streaming equipment according to event requirements.

  • Collaborate with event planners, producers, and clients to understand their technical needs and translate them into effective solutions.

  • Conduct pre-event equipment checks and ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.

  • Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting throughout events, responding promptly to any technical emergencies.

  • Work with our warehouse and technical management team to ensure equipment is suitable and well maintained.

  • Maintenance and inspections on client owned equipment as part of a venue support package.

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements in event production.

  • Other reasonable responsibilities, working with our venue support and live events departments to support the objectives of the company.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Proven experience as an Event Technician, preferably in a fast-paced event production environment.

  • Proficient knowledge of lighting, sound, and video/streaming equipment, including their installation, operation, and troubleshooting. 

  • Familiarity with lighting control systems, audio mixing consoles, and video streaming platforms.

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to adapt quickly to changing event requirements.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve technical issues during live events.

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.

  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.
